Nathanael is the founder and Lead Designer at WoodSmithe. In the distant past he built things for the US government, and since then there has remained a lingering aura of secrecy about him. And it is a bit mysterious how he is able to so completely understand a clients needs and present them with a final product that vastly exceeds their expectations. Nathanael can often be overheard mentoring his team with the simple phrase “Do Good Work,” a motto the shapes everything the WoodSmithe believes in.
Nina Hans is WoodSmithe's Art Director and unofficial "office mother" to the guys who work at WoodSmithe. Nina begins each day with a few cups of Handsome Coffee, and soon after, she's scanning her favorite design blogs and Pinterest boards, finding inspiration for her coming day of making WoodSmithe foxy. She’s got a heart larger than the cumulative land mass of the 30 countries she has traveled across, and as a native of the Big Island she rides and measures waves Hawaiian style. She loves to booty dance to 80's hip hop, play softball, and is the official merch girl at her husband's indie rock shows. Of course she'd prefer to do all of this in 4” heels and still be in bed by 10pm.
Jesse is the Production Manager at WoodSmithe. Consuming a 64 ounce mug of coffee every morning, Jesse works at one pace, Fast. He came to us from New York City where He worked in the motion picture and television industry for over 15 years. With a resume as long as his hair, Jesse has worked as Head Carpenter, Production Electrician, Rigger, Lighting Technician and Production Manager in studios and at countless live events from Times Square to Hollywood. This guy understands how to Do Good Work, in a New York Minute.
Derek is the Development Manager at WoodSmithe. In the past he’s been a display designer and an art gallery curator. Now here at WoodSmithe Derek is the guy who sits down with our clients, listens closely to what their needs are, and then researches and concepts designs to meet them. A talented artist, Black Sabbath devotee, and reader of obscure literature, Derek just might be the most badass member of our team.
